Food Pantry

Total Net Profit Proceeds from the 12th Annual "Birdies for Bread" Golf Tournament:

Proceeds from the last "Birdies for Bread" Golf Tournament brought in  just under $14,000.00,  bringing the total to $97,129.00 donated to the food pantry over the past twelve years.

A community food pantry for low income and homeless people in our community is provided by the partnership of Temecula United Methodist Church and St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church. During one month, we provided food for over 335 families for a total of 871 hungry people.   It is supported by both congregations as well as from food donations received from Albertson's and Trader Joe's. Additional funding for the food pantry is provided by the MONKS and ladies of Temecula United Methodist Church together putting on a memorable Spaghetti Dinner in the month of March raising $3300 for the Food Pantry and Project Touch as well as participating in the annual "Friends of the Poor" Walk held yearly in March.

Non-perishable grocery items are delivered weekly to St. Catherine's from weekly contributions from Temecula United Methodist Church.

The Temecula United Methodist Church  also gives financial support to the Temecula Murrieta Pantry.  This non-profit organization provides assistance to the homeless, and low income families in the Temecula Valley, Aguanga and Anza.  Please see more information at www.temeculacommunitypantry.org
