Dear Friends and Family at TUMC,

Pastor Rick Malec is retiring at the end of June this year. We are planning a celebration on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 4 p.m. for Pastor Rick and Sally to honor this special time in their lives after more than 30 years of ministry.

The celebration will include guest speakers from past churches where Pastor Rick and Sally have served, sharing highlights of their ministry from over the years. There will be ample time to express your gratitude in person as well. The evening will feature praise music, as well as music favorites chosen by Pastor Rick and Sally—from Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, and Billy Joel.

Please  RSVP here by June 14th. We are asking for photographs of Pastor Rick and Sally that you would like to share. The retirement party planning committee will be assembling a slide presentation to commemorate their service and dedication. Email digital pictures to ricksretirement24@gmail.com. Mail or drop off copies of physical photos at the church office by June 1st.

Dinner will be catered by Great Scot BBQ and will consist of:  Tri-tip, barbeque chicken, macaroni and cheese, smoked beans, coleslaw, and rolls, all served buffet style. The cost to attend the event is $20 per person.

As a part of the farewell festivities, we will present a gift to Pastor Rick and Sally. You will find a box in the rear of the Worship Center for cards and donation envelopes for the event, and contributions for the gift if you so choose.
